About

My work as a therapist is to help folks feel seen and celebrated. I am honored to partner with my clients as they navigate processing the past and integrating this into the present, leaning into their most authentic selves. I have a focus of being fat positive, neurodivergent positive, LGBT2SQIA+ affirming, disability justice focused, anti-racist, sex positive, and pleasure forward. I tend to work with folks who are navigating issues around religious trauma, sex, and/or perfectionism. If you feel like you want a therapist who treats you like a whole person, and approaches this work from a systemic and harm reduction model, then I'm your girl.

What harm reduction means in practice

Harm reduction means that in my practice, I honor and strive to lead with decolonized practices around how to decrease the distressing part of harmful behaviors. I come from a religious background, where I know firsthand how an abstinence based model is harmful and so I want to support folks around their substance/alcohol/sexual behaviors in a way that honors their needs, journey, and aims to focus on community care.

Communities, movements & lineages that shaped this work

Mainly my peer mentor, Gaby Rubalcava, a fellow LMFT I have worked with and learned much of my eating disorder and harm reduction education from. Their anti-carceral approach is life giving.

Trainings, certifications & community lineages

Creating a Kink-Friendly Practice (AASECT, American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists); Healing Intergenerational Trauma with Peter Levine PhD and Efu Nyaki (The Embody Lab); Reclamation as a Clinical Intervention (Reclamation Collective).
